Since childhood, I have always had a desire to learn how to draw. I finally decided to give it a try in 2018 and bought a book on how to draw small birds. I enjoyed it so much! A few months later when my mom passed away I was inspired to try and draw her portrait and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
An online course on drawing fairies caught my attention so I signed up and I was hooked! I joined the online drawing club and completed many lessons covering a wide variety of subject matter, including stylized fashion, fantasy figures and faces, cartoon figures, urban sketching, realistic faces to name a few. I have worked in graphite, charcoal, coloured pencil, alcohol marker, pen and watercolour.
I feel very lucky to have found my passion in my retirement and am looking forward to much more learning and creating!
