I was born and raised in Newfoundland, which instilled an early  appreciation of all that nature offers.   I’ve always had a keen interest in hand crafting and enjoyed trying new art projects.   We lived and traveled in most regions of Canada. We spent four and a half years in Germany, and as a result, discovered and was given the opportunity to try many different art forms.

I started painting in 1986 in Alberta with a very talented local artist.  With her help, I gained the confidence to continue this art form.  I stopped for a few years because of work commitments and then started painting again when we arrived in Nova Scotia in 1998.  Since then, I have painted with local artists, the Annapolis Valley Decorative Artists, and the Artists Circle.   Medium:  Oil and acrylics.
