Sunset At Margaretsville

I had an interest in art as a child and took an oil painting class at a community center with artist Harold Ryan of Middleton.  I have always been inspired by the works of Tom Forestall, Alex Colville and Robert Bateman.

I have always enjoyed painting animals and scenery, but believe that the greatest freedom of expression through art is abstract painting.  I use a variety of mediums such as; acrylic, watercolor, oil, paper maché, mixed medium, pencils and soapstone carving.

I have a diploma of graphic design and illustration from Annapolis Valley Community College (NSCC) in Middleton.  I also attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax to study fine art in oil painting, sculpture and art history.

I have been a member of the Artist Circle group for over 25 years and have exhibited paintings in the Margaretsville Art Shack for most of those years.  I also exhibit paintings year round at Angie’s Family Restaurant in Middleton, NS.
