Who We Are

The Artists’ Circle of the Annapolis Valley is a registered co-operative of artists living or working in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. We are into our thirty third year of learning and enjoying painting and other forms of art together. Our members work in various mediums and are at all levels of achievement. Membership is open to emerging and experienced artists in the Annapolis Valley area. Whether you are an experienced artist or want to expand on your knowledge, the Artists’ Circle offers a place for all to enjoy.

The Art Shack Gallery

In the summer months we open our gallery to active members who wish to display and sell their art work.  The Art Shack Gallery is located on the shore of the Bay of Fundy in Margaretsville, Nova Scotia.  Members are not required to show at the Gallery as some members prefer to take advantage of the exhibits and shows arranged by the club throughout the year.

Come Out To Meet Our Group

The Artists Circle meets once a month on the third Monday. Anyone interested in meeting the group or to see what we do, please come out to a meeting, as a guest.  Meeting dates will be posted, for info click HERE. There are no meetings in June, July, and August as these are the months the Art Shack Gallery is open and members are busy creating and displaying at the gallery. No meetings in December and January, usually months when most artists prefer to remain home and work on their art pieces.  During the year, public workshops are organized and instructed by Nova Scotia artists working in different mediums. All members are welcome to attend at a drastically reduced member’s rate.  Members are encouraged to participate in the club executive positions which afford them the opportunity to help with the running of the club, learn new things and get to know the other members.  The yearly membership fee is forty dollars.
